Health is essential for human beings to take care of all the time.
Under the distinguished presence of Mr. Graham, Mr. Peter, the Director, and social worker, in collaboration with the local authority, visited and studied the family situation of Mr. Youn Sopheap, who is facing health problems due to a spinal cord injury, unable to walk and work. It was found that his illness required necessary medical assistance and treatment to help comfort and fulfill the family’s needs, especially the children who were in need. As seen from the actual condition of the illness, Mr. Graham and Mr. Peter decided to support Mr. Youn Sopheap and send him for examination and treatment at the Provincial Hospital. After visiting the family’s condition and symptoms, Mr. Youn Sopheap said that: For 45 days, his illness has improved a lot (30% of the disease), he can walk a little bit, and works with family, but he still tries to take care of himself and take regular medication as prescribed by the doctor. He and his family are pleased with the HOPE Community Centre, which has always helped and comforted his family for many years.
If we look around his house, there are all kinds of crops such as vegetables, spinach, radish, kale, papaya, bananas, oranges, peppers, etc. This work is done by Mr. Youn Sopheap’s wife, who suffers from all this because her husband has a chronic illness and cannot help, but she always tries and struggles in life for her family and children and is a part of reducing family expenses. At the same time, this family is really happy after seeing Mr. Youn Sopheap’s continuous improvement, and thanks to the HOPE Community Centre for making their dream come true.
