After leaving school to support her family, Dalen spent nights selling sweets along National Road 5, an unsafe and exhausting work. Her dream was to learn food and beverage skills, and with support from the Hope for Cambodian Children Foundation, that dream is now a reality.
Every weekend, Dalen trains in preparing coffee, tea, and juice, learns teamwork, and builds responsibility and communication skills. She is already able to make about 65% of beverages and continues to push forward with determination.
Dalen’s journey shows the power of opportunity. With the right support from Hope, we allow young people to build skills, confidence, and brighter futures.
