Exploring Battambang’s Hidden Stories
On August 14, our Level 3 students went on an excursion to Ek Phnom, Baset Temples, and Samraong Knong Killing Field—part of a special research project organised by the Community Education Program.
This wasn’t just a field trip. It was their first time learning English through real-life experiences—connecting history, teamwork, and personal growth. From ancient Khmer architecture to the painful memories of the Khmer Rouge, each site offered powerful lessons in culture, resilience, and remembrance.
Though tired, our students returned with full hearts and fresh insights. Their group presentations at the end of August will showcase not just what they learned, but how deeply it was felt.
