On Monday, the Early Learning and Education Program held an informative presentation for parents, guardians, and students to raise awareness about Dengue fever. The session was led by Mr. Khem Khen, a nurse from the Hope for Cambodian Children Foundation (HfCCF), who provided crucial information on the disease.

  1. Symptoms of Dengue Fever: Mr. Khem Khen outlined the common symptoms of Dengue fever, which include high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint and muscle pain, rash, and bleeding symptoms.
  2. Prevention Methods: The presentation emphasized the importance of protecting oneself from Dengue fever. Mr. Khen highlighted practical steps such as eliminating standing water where mosquitoes breed, using mosquito repellents, wearing protective clothing, and ensuring that living areas are equipped with screens or mosquito nets.
  3. First Aid Treatment: Mr. Khem Khen guided the basic treatment for Dengue fever, stressing the importance of hydration, rest, and medical consultation. He also addressed the need to seek prompt medical attention if severe symptoms or complications arise.
