Community Education

Breaking the poverty cycle through health, education and community assistance

You can change a life
Hi Shapes

About this program

Over 380 children between 9 years and 17 years of age attend the HOPE school each afternoon from 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday during the school year. These children are selected from poorer families by our Social Welfare and Education teams and receive tuition in English and Computer Studies to supplement the education they receive in Government schools (which operate for a half a day each day). Due to the generosity of several of our Sponsors, we were able to refurbish our Computer room and to replace all of our failed computers (which were supplied to us second-hand from Singapore more than 10 years ago and were no longer working satisfactorily). So we now have an excellent facility with 30 computers, all new and all the same type.
